BRIGHT-EYED CHILDREN IN OUR FAMILY-FRIENDLY BLACK FOREST HOTEL

Children fall in love with Spielweg straight away! Not only do they feel heartily welcomed by the entire team, they also find out, in a very short space of time, that there is an unbelievably large range of things to discover inside as well as outside the hotel. And even the kitchen in our child-friendly hotel, is able to fulfil (almost) every heart’s desire that our visiting offspring may have …. Furthermore, every child can look forward to having its very own kiddie’s Spielweg bathrobe.

For the perfect family holiday, we offer the following, free of charge and on request:

  • baby cot with bedding/blanket in your room
  • kettle or bottle warmer in your room
  • chair for children with a fastening strap or infant carrier
  • baby phone (in Stammhaus) – in Haus am Bach/Sonnhalde we have dedicated telephone lines
  • carriers for hiking

And if parents are in need of child-care, we also offer babysitters for EUR 15 per hour – please let us know in advance!

“And directly on our doorstep is the greatest “play area” of them all: the spacious empire of the Black Forest.”

Playgrounds

THE GAMES ATTIC

In the homely attic of the Stammhaus is a large room with approximately 100 m² only for children. Here you can find board games, cuddly toy animals, children’s books and ample space to spread out. Some simply don’t want to leave.

THE PLAY GARDEN

Directly opposite the sun deck is a play garden that includes everything a child’s heart desires: a play house, a swing with a jungle gym, a ping-pong table and – an unbeatable highlight – a rabbit hutch. This is where Sunday afternoons simply fly by.

THE MOUNTAIN STREAM

The mountain stream, Neumagen, allows you to cool down as well as providing a piece of nature at its best, directly on the premises. For young adventurers it provides ideal opportunities for splashing around and building dams. Fish have also been sighted here.

THE BEEKEEPING MUSEUM

Something really special in the vicinity of Spielweg: The Beekeeping Museum. It is one of the biggest of its kind in the world and provides a unique display with live bees and uncountable exhibits from around the world. An exciting place, not only for children.

AND MUCH MORE

Only 15 kilometres away is the Steinwasen-Park. It provides a large range of different attractions for young as well as older adventurers. White water rafting for instance, a hanging rope bridge, mountain toboggan track, animals, a fairy tale cinema …. and finally, the biggest leisure and adventure park in Europe is only approximately 70 km away: Europa-Park Rust. Directly on the motorway (A5).
